They set us up with a BYD and I was really happy with it—great on fuel, basically brand new, local rental company, full coverage through the rental, and the inspection was super smooth, they barely even checked the exterior.

I have to say, overall service from Sicily by Car was really solid. Pick-up and drop-off were both super convenient. I originally planned to return the car the night before my flight, but ended up changing it to 7:30 the next morning instead. When I pulled into the parking lot, staff were already there, and the inspection was quick and professional. They didn’t try to make things difficult just because I had a flight to catch right after. Big thumbs up for that!

If you’ve already booked the full insurance package online, they really don’t try to upsell you anything at the counter.

They did try to upsell a bit, but nothing pushy or uncomfortable.

Really solid and trustworthy, and sometimes they even give you a free upgrade, which is such a nice surprise. Just remember to take clear photos of the car from every angle, inside and out, when you first get it. Other than that, nothing to worry about—the staff are all great.

SICILY is great, this is my second time renting from them. I booked an Alfa Romeo but got a MG HZ instead, and it actually drove really well—smart features, even a fatigue alert system. I’d recommend just getting the full coverage at the rental desk; it’s about €100 more per day than QEEQ, but it’s worth it for the peace of mind: drop off the keys and you’re done.

They only took a 100 deposit, and when I returned the car they just checked the spare tire and fuel gauge and I was done.

Pickup and drop-off were super straightforward. Just filled the tank, did the paperwork, and that was it—no pointless chatter. About 20 minutes later, the €200 deposit pre-authorisation was released.
