Staff were friendly and they upgraded us to a bigger car, though driving a large vehicle on those narrow French roads was a bit challenging.

The car was in great condition and everything went really smoothly overall. The only downside was that the return location was a bit hard to find. I’m still waiting to see if there’ll be any tickets or extra charges.

There were quite a few people picking up cars in Nice, and the model I booked was no longer available. They upgraded me, but when I got to the parking lot that car had an issue and couldn’t be used, so they immediately swapped it for another one. Everything was sorted out smoothly in the end and I’m happy overall.

Service was really nice. When I went to pick up the car I realized the Peugeot 208 they gave me didn’t have a luggage cover. I mentioned it to the staff and they switched me to an Opel for free. The back seat and trunk were both more spacious. Just be careful driving in and out of those old European garages—they’re pretty tight.

The whole rental process was really straightforward and hassle-free, and the car drove great. A warning light came on the first day, but after I contacted them, the store handled it quickly and replaced the car the next day.

There are signs, but they’re not very clear. Just ask and you’ll figure it out.

The rental counter pushed us to buy yet another insurance and I honestly don’t get why. I’d already purchased the highest coverage on QEEQ but they said insurance bought in China means I’d have to pay out of pocket first and only claim reimbursement after going back home. In the end we had no choice but to pay for an extra policy.

There were plenty of staff on duty, so both picking up the car and swapping to another one were really fast and smooth.

I originally booked a manual, but they gave me an automatic instead, which I was quite happy with. The downside was the pickup time: I booked for 5 p.m. in case my flight was delayed or baggage took longer, but I actually arrived two hours early and they wouldn’t let me pick up the car early unless I paid a lot extra, so I ended up waiting about an hour and a half. I know some other companies allow early pickup, so I’m not sure if this could be improved here.
