The car was almost brand new and in great condition. Picking it up and dropping it off was super easy and fast!

There weren’t many people picking up cars, but each customer took over ten minutes to process. Also, I didn’t get the Toyota RAV4 I’d originally booked, which was a bit disappointing.

Picking up the car at the airport was super easy. The only downside was that over Chinese New Year there weren’t as many car options and prices weren’t as good as usual, but everything else was great. The staff asked if I wanted to add roadside assistance, I did the math and decided to get it—just over NZD 11 a day for peace of mind while driving.

The pick-up and drop-off process was very smooth.

When picking up the car, I informed the staff that I had already purchased insurance, but the staff insisted on adding local insurance, citing communication issues. It wasn't until after I paid the $200 deposit with my card that I realized an additional insurance fee had been charged. When I asked for a refund, I was told that the payment was non-refundable. The only option was to cancel the entire order for a refund, which would leave me without a car. Finally, I sought assistance from QEEQ customer service, and the issue was resolved satisfactorily.

Final rental was handled by Europcar and the cross-island car swap was smooth and hassle-free, really impressed.

Renting through the online platform was very convenient, and cancellations didn’t require worrying about extra charges. Although I encountered some scratches during this rental, which involved compensation, the overall service was quite good. Hence, a full score.
