There was no queue when picking up the car, but since I bought insurance through Zuzuche, a deposit of 500 euros was held during pickup. Fortunately, it was refunded to my card two days after returning the car. The car interior wasn't very clean and seemed to lack proper cleaning.

The insurance purchased through the platform is completely a waste of money. At the rental company, you have to buy their insurance again. If you don't buy their full coverage, they won't process the rental for you.

When picking up the car, the staff, a foreign lady, seemed disdainful and said she wouldn't accept the international driver's license translation provided by Zuzuche, insisting on a notarized document instead. Eventually, she reluctantly agreed. While the customer before me, another foreigner, received enthusiastic explanations about how to return the car and avoid restricted areas, she didn’t mention any of this to me. I rented a Mercedes A but was given a small Opel instead.

Overall, AVIS has relatively low efficiency. The wait time for picking up the car was long. When inquiring about how to return the key, I was instructed to use a keybox for self-service drop-off, but I was later charged a late return fee. The store's phone was unreachable. The actual car model provided was not very satisfactory, with poor handling.

It's alright, the staff has a good attitude. There are some routine sales pitches, but that's understandable. They mentioned providing an Audi A6 wagon but gave us a Ford Kuga instead, which is quite different. However, since places in Italy are small and compact cars are easier to park, it's acceptable.

Apart from the fact that the car we received was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly, everything else was fine. There was no hard sell of expensive insurance. We added full coverage at the counter for 20 euros a day, which met our expectations, and for safety, we opted for full coverage. Adding an extra driver was 10 euros a day. The translation booklet from QEEQ allowed us to rent with a domestic driver's license. Remember to ask for the exact return address, as the one provided by QEEQ was not accurate. We refueled about 10-20 km away from the return spot. During the inspection, they said the tank wasn't full, and we had to either pay 100 euros or fill it up ourselves. We drove back and added 7 euros of fuel nearby, so it's best to refuel close to the return location.

This local Italian car rental company is very laid-back, no upselling at all. What you book is what you get. I had to ask for full insurance myself for it to be added. The rental location at Florence train station has separate spots for paperwork and car pickup. It's about a five-minute walk between them. Most importantly, the car pickup spot is in a garage outside the ZTL, which is very convenient! Once you finish the paperwork and walk over, the car is already prepared. There were no staff members around to explain anything, very laid-back! You inspect the car yourself and contact staff if there are any issues. During the paperwork, the staff told me to return the car with a full tank of fuel. I assumed the car was full when I picked it up, but it wasn't! I filled it up upon return and realized it wasn't full when I picked it up. I mentioned this to the staff when returning the car, and he just smiled and said I simply spent a bit more money but there was nothing he could do.

There were no issues with picking up or using the car. I rented it for just one day, so I didn't purchase their insurance and had a €1200 deposit held. The ridiculous part happened a day after returning the car when €98 was deducted from the deposit. I contacted customer service, and they explained it was a cleaning fee. When I returned the car, it was midday, and the staff mentioned it was the last shuttle before their break, so they rushed us off without properly inspecting the car. I then asked customer service for evidence of the car being dirty since we only rented it for a day, didn't drive through muddy areas, and absolutely didn't smoke or anything like that. It couldn't have been so dirty to warrant a €98 cleaning fee. The photos they eventually provided showed two small spots on the back seat, which made no sense because the two of us never even used the back seat. Finally, after almost two weeks of appealing to the Zuzuche (Car Rental Platform) customer service, they only refunded half of the charge. This whole experience was ridiculous. Here's a tip for everyone: make sure to inspect the car in person and do some cleaning before returning it.

They forced me to buy insurance, saying they would cancel the booking if I refused. I had no choice but to comply because being in such a remote area without a car would be very inconvenient. Initially, they told me the insurance would cost an additional 19 euros per day, but when I paid with my card, it turned out to be 27 euros per day. When I questioned why the price was higher than the agreed 19 euros, they claimed there had been a mistake and that the card charge was correct. Beware of this!

The wait was quite long, both for queuing and receiving the car. The first car provided had no air conditioning, but the staff member kindly helped me exchange it for another one. The car wasn't given with a full tank, only about three-quarters full, so I returned it with the same level. However, it was hard to control the exact amount when refueling, and I ended up adding more fuel than needed.

Waited an age to get seen and then the agent stated they did not have the three child booster seats I’d ordered. She was wholly unhelpful and I had to be very forceful and insistent before she reluctantly managed to procure the child seats. On return the company have fraudulently tried to pin damages on me for defects that existed at the time of pick-up. Fortunately, I took photos before driving off but that hasn’t stopped them withholding my cash for the trumped-up “damage”. Disgraceful and illegal behaviour from what I had previously thought were a reputable organisatio.

I have rented cars multiple times, however, it has always been through Avis/Hertz/EuropCar. This has been the first time I rented Gold Car and experience was a breeze. Collected the car in 15 minutes flat from Florence Airport. Car Drop-Off process took no more than 10 Minutes - Francesco at Gold Car Drop Off was really helpful and quick. The car condition was excellent and as good as new. Just awaiting refund of the deposit/authorisation. Once that comes through, will leave a detailed review. Have been advised that the refund takes about 2 weeks time.

I originally booked a fully prepaid car, but on the day of pickup, I was told it was unavailable. To avoid delaying my trip, I had to upgrade the model. However, I later found out that the cost of the originally booked car was not refunded, resulting in double charges. I have kept the payment receipt and transaction records, but have yet to receive a resolution. I don't know if it's due to internal mismanagement of the rental company or inefficiency of the platform!

Overall pretty good. Booked two cars for our trip and both got upgraded to a BMW X1 and an Audi Q2. They didn’t try to force any insurance on us. The only hassle was returning the car, as the area was filled with restricted zones and one-way streets, which the GPS failed to identify. We had to return to the hotel and get directions from the hotel staff to find the rental office. Make sure to ask for directions when picking up the car.

We were given the wrong address when picking up the car, which caused our group to drag our luggage around for about half an hour early in the morning. Finding the drop-off location was also difficult according to the GPS, and it was near the ZTL areas.
