Overall fine, but even though I proactively provided my credit card info online for highway toll fees, the rental company still charged me for the toll fee in California and added a $10 service fee. Felt a bit like being forced to pay for the service fee.

It took me an hour to get the car after finishing the paperwork. The staff said they wanted to make sure everything was fine, but it was obvious the car wasn't ready. After I pushed them, they finally gave me a car. I had already bought full insurance, but the rental company claimed I only had their basic insurance and asked me to buy additional coverage, which was strange. Everything else was fine.

Very satisfied, the pickup process was smooth with no extra fees.

We booked a mid-size to large SUV, but upon arrival, they offered only a Jeep Compass, which was too small to accommodate 5 people and their luggage. Due to language difficulties, we couldn't address the issue properly. We don't know where the problem originated. Later, they kept pushing us to upgrade to a larger vehicle, costing us several hundred dollars more for a Grand Cherokee. Hertz in the USA left a very bad impression. Complaint
