It was my first time driving an EV and the staff proactively upgraded my car. The guy at the pickup desk was super patient, walked me through all the buttons and controls on the new car, and even helped me download and register the local charging app.

The rental counter was super easy to find on the second floor of the airport, and there really wasn’t much of a line. The guy at the desk was very proactive and helpful. Since I rented an EV, he walked me through all the key things in detail—like how to charge it and which apps to use. Overall, the experience was really good.

I bought the insurance from Zuzuche and was worried the counter staff might try to push Avis’s own insurance, but none of that happened at all.

They gave me a nearly new car with just over 4,000 km on it and it drove great in every way. But after I returned it, they charged me three separate times and never provided any breakdown of the fees. That kind of lack of transparency is unacceptable to me. When I rent in the UK or Dubai, they always email a detailed invoice to the address on my contract.

It wasn’t the VW ID3 I originally booked, but the Citroën C4 I got was practically brand new, with just over 700 km on the clock.

They were super easy to reach and replied almost instantly, even calling me directly to go over the details. I did the math and realized they were doing all this in the middle of the night China time.
