Pretty satisfied overall.

The RAV4 was really spacious – perfect for four people, and the trunk had plenty of room for our luggage. Overall a great experience. Before setting off I only took photos of the body of the car; I really should’ve taken pictures of the wheels too. When we returned the car they found a small scratch on the rim that you’d barely notice, and I wasn’t sure if it was already there, but I still ended up paying 2,000. Luckily I’d bought insurance through QEEQ so it was fully reimbursed. There’s always uncertainty on the road, so I’d definitely recommend getting enough coverage before you drive.

My English isn’t very good, but the staff were super patient explaining everything, which was really nice.

Rented at Bergen Airport and dropped off in the city. This was the first rental place that didn’t push any extra add‑ons at all. When we returned the car, we were almost going to miss our train, so I asked if they could possibly give us a ride to the station. They didn’t even hesitate and immediately drove us there, which is the only reason we made the train—absolute lifesavers. I tipped them to say thanks. The car itself was in excellent condition!

The Harstad pickup spot is at a gas station near the harbor, which is pretty convenient. The process was quick, and the car was easy to drive. You can connect your phone via CarPlay, so no need for a phone holder. Returning the car at the airport was also very easy. Don't throw away the envelope they give you—fill it out, put the keys inside, and drop it in if no staff are on duty.

Almost no waiting in line, they just did a quick ID check, handed over the keys, and reminded us to take photos of the car to record its condition.

They gave me a nearly new car with just over 4,000 km on it and it drove great in every way. But after I returned it, they charged me three separate times and never provided any breakdown of the fees. That kind of lack of transparency is unacceptable to me. When I rent in the UK or Dubai, they always email a detailed invoice to the address on my contract.

The car was in great condition, it had autopass, and was very fuel-efficient.

The locals here are genuinely trustworthy and honest.

The location is easy to find, Avis has a prominent sign, situated in the central area, less than a ten-minute walk from the pier, with a large parking area at the entrance, making pickup and drop-off very convenient.
