For airport pick-up, an agent from Icerental 4x4 will meet you inside the arrival hall holding a sign with ICERENTAL 4x4 logo on it. From there you are taken to the rental office, only around 7 minutes away, from where you will receive the vehicle. The shuttle service goes between the airport and the rental office around every 20 minutes, so do not worry if you don't see Icerental 4x4 representative right away. You are also welcomed to call rental office directly at +354 571-2266 and press 1. Rental office is open 24/7.The shuttle bus service opens from 04:00 until 22:00 from November 1 - April 30

Arrived and waited 35minutes for pickup, to then be told theres too many people for the minibus and would have to wait a further 25minutes until the bus returned. Poor quality car, radio didnt work, cruise control didnt work, shook\made odd noises at higher speeds. Ended up with a chip in the windscreen from a 2 day car hire, which results in me being charged £650. Complete rip off. Will never use again, along with advising everyone else not too.

The car felt like it had not been serviced in a long time. It was clearly quite old. The drivers window was broken, so when it was opened and closed it ended up breaking the window seal and allowing wind, snow and rain in. The drivers side brake light didn’t work when it was handed over (realised the second day) and the windscreen wipers should have been changed. Driving in Iceland we had to contend with snow and this car needed to be in far better condition than it was.

Car performed well and plenty of room. Vehicle had much wear & tear. Some warning lights were on and staff noted these but assured us all was well. No breakdowns. One concern; I received a parking citation first day out. About 7 days later I attempted to pay the citation at the Bank and was told rental agency had alread paid. When I turned in car I was charged amount of fine 4500 krona (ok) and a "service fee" of 3000 krona! If I tried to turn in car without paying, then I understand fee. However I attempted to pay before returning the vehicle. This left me with bad taste for Icerental 4x4. No opportunity to pay on my own and no notice from rental agency before they paid and then expect high service fee. Staff treated us well. Sounds like policy issue.

The Dusters its a great car, the car was brand new had no issue when return the car, the only down side is the shuttle between the rental location and airport its slow little bit(45 min) we probably just arrived after the shuttle left, i recommend to drop the car a bit earlier than usually you would do. I made a reservation for a "Hyundai i20 or similar car" online. When I arrived at the place, they gave me the most basic Dacia Logan. The car did not have the most basic features a car these days has (no parking sensors, no cruise control, not even outside temperature display or even engine liquid temperature display). I did not know it's even possible to buy a car these days with so limited functions. On top of that, the speaker in the back made weird noise, the USB cable didn't charge the phone and the biggest problem, the manual AC button was blocked in one position). I even went back after driving for 2 km and I told the guy working there to exchange the car, but he refused (also being a bit rude in conversation). I would be totally fine with getting the Hyundai i20 they advertised on the website, but I would never have rented from them the car that we got, so I felt a bit cheated on. We had an amazing holiday, but I think we would have enjoyed it more with a decent car.

I booked Skoda Octavia two wheel drive. Since the vehicle was not available, Suzuki S cross four wheel drive was given during pick-up. The staff convinced us that four wheel drive is better and that the vehicle is upgraded free of cost. It made us think that we are getting a better vehicle. But it turned out that's not the case. A two wheel drive would have been more than enough for our journey. Also since we had taken a four wheel drive car, it impacted the mileage and so we had to spend a lot more on fuel. Other than that we did not face any issue. The vehicle was given in good condition. It was good to drive.

This rental company truly operates 24/7; even in the middle of the night, several staff members are on duty, and you can pick up or drop off the car as well as arrange airport transfers at any time. Returning the car was handled efficiently—once the vehicle inspection was completed with no issues, the process was wrapped up quickly. The car I picked up was well-maintained, with no mechanical or maintenance problems. However, the vehicle's feature setup was a bit lacking. Our Subaru XV had ACC cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic wipers and headlights, but no reverse parking sensors, which made reversing somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, adding an extra driver at the rental location required an additional fee of 990 NOK per person per day, which was quite expensive. That said, considering the local cost of living, the service provided was worth the price. The core experience was excellent, and the minor issues were secondary.

The shuttle service right at the airport entrance is extremely convenient, and there is a drop-off service to the airport. The service is truly excellent. The provided studded snow tires ensured no slipping throughout the trip, whether on snowy, rainy, or regular roads. Very safe. It was my first time driving a hybrid car, and since I couldn't hear the engine, I thought the car hadn't started. The staff ended up laughing at me for that.

Very satisfied. The car rental staff were quite patient, and we communicated using translation software without them showing any impatience. When returning the car, there was a small stone chip on the windshield, but we couldn’t confirm if it was caused by us. After discussing with the rental company, no charges were applied. The whole communication process was pleasant. Kudos to the car rental company!

The service was excellent. I arrived one and a half hours earlier than the scheduled time, and it was very smooth to pick up the car. The car provided was an upgrade from the one I booked, which was genuinely great. Four days of driving without any issues, very hassle-free. The return process was also very smooth, and they dropped us off at the airport, so there was nothing to worry about.

The clerk at the counter insisted that we needed to purchase insurance even though I was pretty sure I already had. After picking up our car and heading to our destination I looked back through my e-mails and have an e-mail that states "avoid buying additional insurance at the counter" with a receive and proof of insurance. Upon returning the car, and bringing this, and the e-mail, to their attention they told me too bad and they would not refund me my 250+ USD. The car was great, customer service was horrible.
