Excellent value for money, problem free car hire

Reviewed: Thu, Nov 16, 2023
About Alamo: 9.0 /10
I read a few reviews which advised against using Alamo but to be honest I couldn't fault it. The staff were helpful, the vehicle was great and we had a trouble free holiday. They don't make a big fuss on returning the car, they just walk round and make sure there is no perceptible damage that wasn't there before and sign it off. All perfectly standard and normal practice. Thank you will use again, exceptionally good value and service.

Not much to say about the booking process. It is what it is. It was problem free and everything was recognised at the airport end without issues.

There were quite a few people in line when picking up the car, and only one staff member, so the wait was a bit long. However, the staff was very nice.

“Am not happy about paying for the extra driver that we never used. I wonder if this is a scam.”
About Alamo: 9.3 /10
I have a visa credit card which I have used as a credit card for decades. They insisted it was a debit card and would not accept it forcing my husband who does not know how to drive stick shift to pay with his card as an extra driver. Our fee was quite a bit higher because of this.

“The company were super professional and fast.”
About Alamo: 9.7 /10
The car was great. The windscreen needed a clean but the interior was very clean. I chose them because the other car providers at Palermo airport had horrible reviews. They were very above board and drop off was so easy. The lady at drop off (sorry forgot her name! Started with an M) was so lovely.
