Long delay picking up the vehicle. Wanted to use it to take my state driving test, but the first vehicle had no registration document. Budget told me to go back to the pickup location to have one issued. But they could not do it, so swapped the vehicle (after checking many others to find a legal one). Counter staff were great, the operations and support staff behind them absolutely not. To top it off, I was then charged because the first car didn't have a full tank when returned! It was not my intention to return the car - this was the only resolution available to the onsite representative. I'm currently waiting for a response to a formal complaint.

I've asked QeeQ to help resolve the complaint, but as yet this hasn't been resolved. Support has been 'ok' but I have had better experiences in the past.

“The trip was very good, the receipt at the end was very bad”

We booked the car at a certain price, then when we returned the car we were charged 100 Dollars more. I know the gas is deducted which is around 30 Dollars so, 70 extra dollars were charged for no obvious reason which doesn't encourage me to use Budget car again in the future

“Was almost unable to rent due to booking internationally”

I was told that I would be unable to rent the car because I had made an international booking and didn't have a international drivers license. I have a US drivers license, even though I reside in England. This was extremely frustrating and almost resulted in me not being able to hire the car. Upon booking, I saw a list of acceptable IDs, which included a US drivers license. The manager sorted it out, luckily, and I was able to hire the car after all. But I had an extremely negative experience with the person at the counter and whatever policy she was referring to seemed totally absurd. Why would I need an international driver's license if I had a US one?!

“Good choice”

Free upgrade to a bigger car was good although there was a big dent on one side. Inside cleanness could be improved. The staff was very kind. Drop-off was easy and convenient. Overall it was a good choice to rent from Budget.
