Poor service attitude, hidden charges, and damage from a previous rental were added to my booking.

Absolutely avoid this Italian company, Budget. They are a rip-off. They push expensive insurance when picking up the car, and if you refuse, they give you an attitude. There's no staff present when you pick up the car. Even though we took photos of numerous scratches when we picked up the car, they were extremely strict during the return inspection and blamed all old scratches on us. They didn't acknowledge the photos we showed them. The damage estimate was shockingly high. Be very careful with this company.

I arrived early, but the first Italian staff member refused to give me the car. I had to queue again at the scheduled time and got the car from another staff member.

Overall it was OK, but we were not very satisfied because we couldn't change the rental time or vehicle type after payment.

Pick up and drop off were both a smooth process. Florence is a busy location so worth allowing at least 30-60mins to collect your car.
