Outstanding

Great! I always rent cars from Hertz for road trips.

Overall satisfied, especially with the patient explanation of various terms when picking up the car, and the good condition of the vehicle. I filled the tank before returning the car, but upon reaching the airport location, I noticed the fuel level was slightly below full. So, I went out again to top it up. Upon my second return, the staff did not inform me or give any hints and just printed a bill (I assume). I took it and went to the airport. At the airport, I discovered an additional charge of £7.62, presumably for the fuel shortage, apart from the usual rental fee and taxes. Calling them later, I found out their service time was over (after 18:00). I don't understand this practice, and maybe the staff was careless, but I am not satisfied with this outcome.

Overall very good experience with them

They could not check the car in quickly as it was a 30 day hire. I was there for almost an hour and a half whilst their computer gave problems. They then tried to bill me one day extra at a high day rate when I actually handed it in a day early! They then corrected this but I must look at my statement next month to ensure they did not bill me extra.

Like: Car was low mileage and in good condition. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Dislike: High excess - There was an opportunity to lower it to zero but the additional cost meant the hire deal would not have been competitive.
