Satisfactory

The pick-up time was supposed to be 8 AM, but we were only informed at 9:30 AM that the car was ready. When we went to the garage, the staff couldn't find our car! This caused us to miss our scheduled steam train ride and waste the tickets! The tank was at 5/8 when we picked up the car, and we were told it's better to return it full. If it's less than 5/8, we would be charged $3 per unit, and if more, we would get a refund. We made sure to fill it up before returning it, and the staff told us we could leave without any paperwork. Unfortunately, after getting back home, they claimed we returned it with only 5/8 tank! It's not a lot of money, but the entire process was frustrating and disappointing!

Despite only having about 46K on the clock the car was covered with many small superficial scratches & one more significant scrape on a wheel rim. The thrifty guy we called to look at the vehicle was disinterested he looked at a few & then said these are all just all fair wear & tear! - cars with no physical handbrake are a concern. lose electrics& you lose brakes.

we wanted to extend our rental period. Easyrentcars were unable to do it without cancelling our booking & then had no guarantee that we would still get the vehicle we had booked initially. Not good. Systems need to be upgraded to enable rental extensions/ alterations WITHOUT booking cancellation.

The Nissan X-Trail vehicle met all my expectations. It was easy to drive and had plenty of room for all our luggage. The only thing I'd ask of Thrifty is that they explain two simple things on the collection of the vehicle - 1. how to switch it on! and 2. How to release the fuel lid!

The booking platform was easy to use. The vehicle was ready for me when I arrived so I was pleased there were no issues that would have delayed our trip.

Thrifty!! you are one of the best rental companies that I regularly rent with. And as always, you never disappoint. This time too, the car was all set and ready for me and it took barely 5 minutes to get the car keys and move.

Thank you for the surprise!! I did not know that my booking had a zero excess insurance already added to my booking. You guys make the process so smooth and easy, and the options provided are vast!!
