The car I rented broke down shortly after I started driving it. I rented the car at noon at Gold Coast Airport, and less than an hour later, a spare tire fell out from the bottom of the car. QEEQ helped contact the car rental company for roadside assistance, but after waiting for 3 hours, no help arrived. The next morning, we found a car rental outlet in the city, but it took over an hour to replace the vehicle. This completely disrupted our travel plans, wasting an entire day. This car must have had issues when handed over, but they were not detected during inspection.

Upon exiting the airport hall, we couldn't find where the shuttle pick-up point was. There was neither a route guide provided by the platform nor a sign for the shuttle bus. For first-time visitors, this is an impossible task. We ended up seeking help from the Europcar airport store, and they assigned a staff member to help us search the airport (since they also weren't sure about the exact location. We had to call the store, and they informed us that we had missed the previous shuttle and advised us to wait for the next one). The problem was that after we deplaned, we tried several times to contact the store using the phone number provided by the platform, but the customer service didn't answer, making the process very difficult.

Disappointing. The gentleman that served me during pick up was on a earpiece and was processing things at an extremely slow paced (furthermore I arrived late with my family and all were tired). Things were not explained clearly and proceeded to getting me to sign. The gentleman that served me was very friendly but when I asked him very clearly about the petrol issue (because I drove from somewhere relatively far but the tank shows full still), he told me all is good and money will be released. However, I realised after a few days that I was charged an extra for petrol (I would not be so disappointed if the staff told me earlier on after the check).

Probably the second time or more that I’ve used EasyRentCars. Comfortable with the platform, Explanation of insurance, selection of car etc. Looking forward to the next ride.

They tried to sell me another 3rd party car insurance coverage. They should hv check properly that it’s alteady fully covered and included in EasyRentCars package instead. I hv to tell them to check twice and insist I hv already bought one. And they credit in my card additional aud 100 for additional cost for road tolls , parking etc. ie aud320+aud100. Feel quite uneasy about this size easyrentcars stated I Only hv to pay aud320 as stated in the email.
