Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Please note that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is only a translation. You must present your original driving licence together with the original IDP at the counter — photocopies or scanned copies are not accepted.

Original South Korea Driving License (English version)

An English translation must be provided on the back of the driver's license.

The translation of the driver's license certified by the Australian Translation and Accreditation Institute (NAATI) can be used to rent a car and drive in Australia.

The only vehicles permitted to travel on unsealed roads are the following FFAR, KPGE, SFDR, PFAR, FFAM, SFBR, SFBD(SUV modles and PICKUP modles)and then ONLY if Unsealed Road Cover has been purchased. An unsealed road refers to a constructed or formed road that is not sealed with a hard material, such as tar, bitumen or concrete. Rental cars can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads.Vehicles are not to be taken above the snow line unless Snow Cover has been purchased.Excluded from the protection is driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water. Like: The price was cheap. We booked first a Toyota Corolla and were given Volkswagen Golf, which is totally fine with us since the car is very good. We didn't ask for it but the GPS was included with the car for free. We had to pay a little extra for an additional driver, as expected.

It allows us to connect our phone and display our GPS on the screen directly instead of looking through our phones which is a plus point. The store is within walking distance from Southern Cross Station. We were four people, and two of us took an Uber with four suitcases, costing 8 AUD, while the other two took the tram. The car rental company is very professional, and the staff explained everything patiently. We left a 100 AUD deposit, which will be refunded 7 working days after returning the car. However, we haven't received it yet. Returning the car at Avalon Airport is also convenient. Just park the car at the designated rental parking lot and drop the keys in the Dropbox at the car rental counter in the terminal. Local time at the airport and major streets and scenic spots can be seen locally.

The service was excellent, warm, and attentive. For someone who doesn't speak English, they were very friendly, patient, and meticulous. The vehicle's performance was outstanding, with full features including cruise control and lane departure warning, which was very helpful for me, a newcomer to Australia driving on the left side of the road. It constantly reminded me if I drifted out of my lane. Most importantly, they didn't have any hidden charges. During this Great Ocean Road trip, the only extra costs were tolls, with no other charges for violations or parking fees, which made me very happy. I'll definitely choose this company again when I come back to Melbourne.

Really happy with this rental. They even upgraded my car at pickup, so it was basically a brand-new Audi. Tom was super friendly and really responsible. I returned the car about 10 minutes later than planned and the branch had already closed, but Tom still helped me out, took the car back, and finished all the paperwork the next day without me having to go back in.
