The staff at the Seattle car rental company are very irresponsible. The previous customer had a credit card issue that delayed us by 30 minutes. When it was my turn, they didn't even check my translated documents before processing. They told me only one car was available, and the fuel tank wasn't full. When I called customer service to change cars, they spent two hours giving me the runaround without solving anything. The next day, there were no cars available despite being told otherwise. The customer service and the rental company were not coordinated. On Sunday, the rental company was closed, and customer service had to call roadside assistance, whose phone was always unreachable. Once you get the car, no one is there to help.

Returning the car within the same state from San Francisco to Los Angeles incurs an intercity fee. Sixt is a better option.

I returned the car on the 16th at the rental store. The fuel level was 7/8 when I rented it. However, since we were in a hurry to catch a bus to Seattle, the fuel level was 1/2 when I returned it, not fully refueled. Although we refueled the car once during our rental period and it cost only $24 to fill the tank, the rental company still charged me nearly $50 for fuel. When I requested to refuel the car and return it, they did not allow it. As we had a lot of luggage, taking public transport or taxis was inconvenient, so we hoped the store could give us a lift, which was only about a ten-minute journey, but they refused. This experience has given us great fear and concern about renting cars and handling related procedures abroad. If even reputable companies like Hertz provide such service, who would dare to rent cars for self-driving tours abroad?! Additionally, to facilitate domestic travelers in handling rental procedures abroad, foreign stores should provide process instructions and other information helpful to Chinese travelers.

It took a very long time to pick up the car in San Francisco International. Getting off an 11 Hr flight to wait over an hour to check in for a car with a very long queue wasn’t ideal. The service at the desk from the Hertz agent was excellent which made up for the wait

Great price, easy to book would use again

Like: new car with only 24K miles done. Good service, i was in & out within 20 min.
Dislike: They should have kept snow scraper in the car as it was snowing heavily & on day 1 of snow I didn't have anything in my car. i had to use my jacket to get snow out.
