First vehicle smelled that someone had smoke on it. Requested a change and got it no questions asked. Excellent service. I even got an upgrade guess for the problem.

Overall service was quite satisfactory. Not much English skill is needed as translation software is quite advanced.

So much choice

I was told to complete pre pick up registration which would mean the car would be ready to pick which I did. When I arrived my name wasn’t on the board so I went to the Avis Preferred desk as detailed in my instructions from QEEQ but they knew nothing about me and directed me back to the terminal. By now a line had formed and I had to wait half an hour. Filling in the pre pick up details was a waste of time and then caused me a delay when collecting

I do not recommend renting cars from SONIC. I booked through Zuzuche for 6 days in Orlando for just $114, which is about 900 RMB. Initially, it seemed incredibly cheap. However, when I got to the store, I found out that even basic insurance was not included and had to be purchased on-site. In the end, with various additional fees (toll fees, tire wear fees, facility fees, special location fees, miscellaneous fees, license registration fees) and taxes, they charged an extra $355, which, combined with the $114 rental, totaled $469 for 6 days. Additionally, they froze $1,000 on my credit card, which they claimed would be refunded a month later.

Mandatory promotion of toll service, charged at $15 per day. The pre-authorization amount is too high, $2500.

Too few staff at the pickup location, resulting in long wait times. The staff were not very patient. Booked an SUV but was given a sedan without any prior notification.

1. Did not provide the reserved car model; 2. Forced purchase of additional insurance not included in the order; 3. Mandatory use of their toll system; 4. Vehicle had dents, but no notification was given during handover.

Counter staff were slow

Overall, it was okay. I was worried they might assign us a small hatchback, so I specifically chose a regular sedan. However, they still gave us a Mazda 3 hatchback. The main issue was that our golf bag couldn't fit in the trunk and had to be placed on the back seat. Luckily, there were only two of us—if we had one more person, it would have been very inconvenient. The car's condition was average. Once we hit 70 mph, the vehicle started to shake, so we didn't dare drive any faster or go on long trips, fearing something might happen. A word of caution: during pickup, the counter staff will go over the details with you and ask you to confirm that the car must be returned with a full tank of gas. You'll have to agree to an electronic contract on a screen. Here's where I got tricked. I didn't read the terms carefully because I assumed it was just a formality since I had already paid beforehand. One of the terms mentioned that the car could be returned without refueling, which ended up costing an extra $48. There was no hard selling or upselling, though. The pickup process itself went smoothly. My only dissatisfaction was the poor condition of the car. Other than that, everything else was fine.
