I visit New York many times every year and always use the same rental location. It's near the Empire State Building and easy to find.

Efficient and straightforward, checking in early is better.

Overall it's okay. The Black guy was very patient and didn't charge any additional fees. The $250 deposit was refunded quickly. However, I had booked a Camry, but for a non-airport city location in New York, there were very few cars available with no equivalent or higher-level options. Since I was in a hurry and didn't want to argue, the two cars were of different levels, but the rental prices were not much different. So I just went with it.

The car provided was slightly upgraded, overall it was acceptable, but the queue time was too long and the efficiency was quite low.

The manager’s service was pretty good. The only issue was that the car I booked wasn’t actually available, so they had to rush one in from somewhere else, which wasted quite a bit of time. They did give me some fuel as compensation though, so overall it was still a decent experience.
