I initially thought that buying the comprehensive insurance on the platform would be sufficient. However, upon arriving at the store, the paperwork took nearly 40 minutes to complete, and then I was asked to pay an additional 40-plus euros for insurance. This is really frustrating; I've never encountered such inefficiency. I don't know if it's a communication issue between the platform and the rental company or some other reason. Ultimately, I decided to cancel it.
The queue was extremely long, each person took 15 minutes to process and the staff were very impatient. I reserved a BMW X1 but got a Peugeot 2008 instead; they said it's the same class but which Chinese person would agree with that? I couldn't understand the deposit payment slip and they couldn't be bothered to explain.
Car was dirty. Car had damage that was not on the contract and thankfully I took photos.Took forever to get the car. Not enough signage on where to pick up car.
Avis attempted to push me to pay more by refusing me the car I booked. No BMW3, no Audi 3/4 no mercedes C. Only options take a BMW7 series and Audi 8 or a criterion. Either that or take an opel model which lower than what I booked. This is a flagrant attempt to force me to take a higher cost model.
