I booked a Peugeot 508 but was upgraded to a BMW 3 Series diesel wagon. The car had 70,000 kilometers on it but was in very good condition. I didn't visit any chaotic big cities, so there were no issues with theft or vandalism. I thoroughly enjoyed the driving experience with the diesel BMW: precise steering, adaptive cruise control with L2 semi-autonomous driving, powerful performance, stable at high speeds, and excellent sound insulation. It's perfect for the South of France, which has both mountain roads and highways for long-distance driving. In terms of space, the trunk is very large and can fit two 28-inch suitcases plus a carry-on bag.

The process of picking up and returning the car was quite smooth.

After having puncture in Paris I received poor direction and service from enterprise. Having found a garage Midas and then told to take vehicle to Speedy as that was authorised. Then we had to wait around 2.5 hours for a authorisation code from enterprise before tyres could be changed. Repeatedly contacted enterprise and was passed from department to department. The hole customer service fell far short of the required standard.
