The car pickup was smooth, the vehicle was new and equipped with CarPlay. It had a high chassis but a compact size, making it suitable for small roads in the UK. The price was reasonable. We purchased QEEQ insurance, but they still promoted the rental company's insurance. During signing, they pre-selected it without asking, and when we requested to remove it, they claimed to have done so but actually didn't. Upon returning the car, we noticed the insurance fee was deducted. After contacting the staff present that day, they admitted the mistake and canceled it.

Alamo had either not enough cars available. Needed to wait 60 minutes with other ten customers before we could pick up the car. First time in my life for such long wait. Other operators at the same location only need a five minutes wait. Alamo in Manchester airport was terrible.

The rental company provided a CLA shooting brake, insisting it was of the same class as an E-Class, even taking me to see it. Coincidentally, there was a C-Class parked nearby, which was visibly larger. They then claimed that their classification was based on trunk space. However, the CLA could only fit one 28-inch suitcase, one 20-inch suitcase, and a bag, while the E-Class could fit two 28-inch suitcases, two 20-inch suitcases, and two bags before nearing capacity. When I pointed out the inconsistencies, the rental company staff remained adamant, stating that by their rules, a CLA shooting brake was equivalent to an E-Class, leaving me with no other option. The manager even provocatively said, “Would a Volvo XC40 be big enough for you?” Eventually, I contacted Zuzuche and proposed using the CLA temporarily until my friend arrived and then swapping for another car. The staff agreed to this and even provided a written note. Later, both Zuzuche and the rental company's official customer service confirmed over the phone that I could swap for an Audi A6 that night. However, when I arrived that evening, the staff on duty outright refused, claiming, “We have no car to give you, the CLA shooting brake is the correct car. We never agreed to let you switch, and official customer service’s promise has nothing to do with us. We didn’t agree, nor were we notified.” After repeated insistence and directly pointing out the two Audi A6s parked outside, they finally allowed the swap.

The staff member had a strong accent and seemed to be new to the job, as they were not very familiar with the procedures. However, their attitude was quite friendly, so I decided to overlook it. Be aware of the company's additional charges: 1. They only provide electric vehicles, and if you want to switch to a petrol car, it costs over £30 per day extra. 2. The deposit is £1,800, but after paying an extra £72, it was reduced to £1,000. 3. The rental platform showed no mileage limits, but at the store, I was informed there is a 100-mile limit per day, and exceeding it incurs extra charges. Additionally, this was my first time driving an electric car, and I only found out at the store that they only offer electric vehicles. I wasn’t familiar with charging procedures. The company provided only a grounding cable for slow charging, and the staff told me that charging stations were easy to find. However, in reality, slow-charging stations require double-ended cables and I couldn’t find any compatible stations for the grounding cable. Eventually, I had to look for fast-charging stations, which are significantly fewer compared to slow-charging points.

The staff performed routine upselling for vehicle upgrades and fuel services, which I politely declined without any issues. The normal procedures were handled efficiently, with a 10-minute wait in line and paperwork completed in 5 minutes. The car was fairly new, with only 7,000 miles on it, and its condition was good. The vehicle had adequate power and was equipped with adaptive cruise control, which made driving much easier.

The booking was scheduled for car collection at 1:30 PM (with full insurance included). However, they insisted on me purchasing their insurance. When I refused, they claimed there were no cars available at 1:30 PM and made me wait until 2:00 PM. In the end, the car was still in the parking lot, and their service attitude was poor.

Apart from waiting for more than half an hour, everything was fine. Overall satisfied, fair price, insurance was not expensive, upgraded to a BMW 3 Series for an additional £8 per day, which was acceptable.

The only problem we had with the car was a flat tyre on the motorway. Which as the car did not have a spare tyre resulted in a three hour wait at the side of the motorway and we had get the tyre replaced at a cost of 204 pounds. As we had paid for zero excess this was refunded by the hire company. Some to think about when hiring a car. Arnold Clark were helpful and the service was quick and efficient.

The friendly professionalism of the yellow taxi (van) driver, on pick up and drop off was awesome. I ordered a Kia Ceed, which is classed as a crossover SUV. The Toyota Corolla I was given, describes itself, in its manual, as a sports hatchback, and being a hybrid, carried batteries below it's rear seat and boot. The resulting boot space was pathetic, barely accepting one large case. The second large case, and two smaller cases were placed along the rear seat, a dangerous option in the event of a forward collision.

The car was as expected but the counter staff were not. They tried to push me into extra insurance. Which I didn't need and indicated I could not get the car unless I agreed to the insurance. After I contacted customer service it was resolved. Not what you need after a 12 hour flight and need to make an appointment.

I paid extra for a SUV or similar. I got a small 5 door Kia Stoic. This is NOT a SUV, various excuses were made. Take it or leave it but no refund. Paid for was a SUV to seat Five, that would be impossible in the provided vehicle. I returned the car three days early due to there being no parking available at the Hilton Carlton nor any parking available less than a thirty minute walk to the hotel. I went to the Edinburg airport (EDI) at approximately 7.30pm, no one at the rental return area. Closed at 7.00pm. There was no indication as to where to park, I took a wild guess. I photographed the interior and exterior. I went to the airport and asked the agent what should I do, answer, where I parked should be fine and throw the keys in the drop box. Over one week later, NOTHING. No contact, no email saying return was complete, no offer of refund for several days early return, NOTHING!

The wait was TWO HOURS to get the pre-booked and pre-paid car. It was baking hot and I had a baby and a small child with me. The staff did not acknowledge the wait or apologise for it. I made a note, whilst in the queue, never to use Europcar again. All other rental car providers had more staff and no lines. Horrible, horrible, experience!

VERY TIME CONSUMING GATHERING ALL THE INFORMATION REQUIRED TO PICK UP. ALSO, AS I ONLY HAD £1500 ON MY CREDIT CARD I WAS FORCED TO PAY IN ADVANCE FOR PETROL I NEVER USED, RETURNING THE CAR BAck with virtually half a tank of petrol in it. On a positive note Ryan on reception is a credit to your organisation, and probably one of the reasons you are still afloat. Had it not been for him remaining calm and trying his best to help me I would not have picked the car up and certainly would have never used you again.

35 mins to pick up in 2 degrees Celsius, the van was waiting at the wrong bus stop behind a bus and with no signage on the front. The driver did at least help me with one of my three cases once we had finally found each other. Check in was complicated because of having to use the self check in machine, even though there were no other customers present and at least two staff working on the desk. The first vehicle issued was not read worthy due to a defective passenger-side mirror, which should not have been released for rental. The vehicle was swapped when I complained. The car was collected in the dark and covered in overnight moisture so some damage was not noticed on the rear driver-side wheel arch; this was only found when I reached my initial destination. Vehicle collection should be arranged in a well-lit area to ensure that no such damage is missed by the renter. The vehicle ran well and is comfortable. The shuttle can does not run frequently enough so I was waiting almost 30 mins after dropping off the vehicle to return the airport.

The milage on agreement was a couple of hundred miles below the actual millage on the car. If I hadnt noticed this I would have been charged for the milage. This made me suspect that Interrent was potentially trying to fiddle the deal. Probably not true but it did reduce my confidence in Interrent considerably. When I made this know the man at the desk said I should just take a photograph of the milage for documentation. This method is not infallible. I would have preferred a corrected rental agreement signed by the person on the desk and documented with a photo so that I would feel certain that I was not being badly dealt with. As it turned out everything was in order when I returned the car. Interrent could easily lose customers by this shoddy way of handling problems. Otherwise Interrent was fine. The car lived up to expectations and the rental cost reasonable.

The rental service of this company is much less convenient compared to others. It's located quite far from the airport for both pickup and return. The staff doesn't even have a hint of a smile. I don't think I will choose this rental company again.
