The service desk attendant had a bad attitude and was very mean with a hint of racism. I was writing my email, which is typically a QQ email for people in China, and she told me not to write my phone number but to write my email. She then directly complained to someone else, saying 'Does she really understand me? She's still writing numbers.' I explained that our emails are composed of numbers, but she said her computer couldn't input numeric characters into the email. How ridiculous.
Alamo is a great company. This time, the front desk charged me $49 without my knowledge. When I returned the car and explained, the manager immediately processed a refund to my credit card. This level of service is rare.
The procedures are quite simple, which is great. It would be even more convenient if the self-service system had a keyboard for car rental customers! The staff typically suggest upgrades or insurance purchases. They might seem displeased if you decline, but it’s understandable.
The after care from Alamo after pickup was excellent. They proactively contacted me to ascertain if I had any questions and provided quick responses to a couple of enquiries I made.
