About Budget: 2.0 /10
1. The rental counter was quite spacious, and there was no line, but unexpected issues still occurred. After entering my information on one computer, card swiping didn't go through smoothly. After two attempts, the computer crashed and couldn't be restarted. Switching to another computer, it also took two tries to process successfully. By that time, over an hour had been wasted, and I followed the instructions to look for the car.

2. Who would have thought that when I arrived at the parking spot, the car assigned to me suddenly drove off! What was going on? I had never experienced this before. I had to go to the pickup floor office to address the issue.

3. The staff then assigned me another vehicle, but a colleague nearby pointed out that the alternative car was no longer available either. The staff member then went outside to search for a car of the same class. I wasn’t sure if he found one. When he returned, he told me he found a 'Charger,' and I initially thought he meant the car came with a charger or something similar. It turned out, after he showed me images online, that he was referring to a Dodge Charger model. He didn’t explicitly mention it was an upgrade, and while he might have briefly mentioned additional charges, the focus at that point was figuring out what he meant by 'Charger.' So, I didn’t question further, and he didn’t explain the cost breakdown either. In my past rental experiences, they would always ask if I wanted an upgrade, and if they didn’t have other cars available, they would offer a free upgrade. I had never been forced into an upgrade before. By this time, almost two hours had already passed, so I quickly grabbed the keys and left.

4. To my surprise, when I arrived at the new car’s parking spot, someone else and I arrived almost simultaneously. I was just two or three meters ahead of them. That person was assigned the same car, essentially experiencing what I went through earlier. This time, they were the unlucky one.

Later, upon carefully reviewing the second rental agreement, I noticed additional charges, including an upgrade fee, forced insurance, and even an airport facility fee. Despite multiple appeals, I couldn’t get those charges waived and had no choice but to accept it.

First, they added many insurances without asking me and charged my card directly. After I insisted, they removed two items but left three. When I asked why the amount was different from the order, they said it was a deposit that would be refunded when the car was returned, which was not the case. Second, they tried to persuade me to upgrade the car I had booked. I reserved a Ford Fiesta, but when I arrived, they told me they only had a two-door car, smaller than a Mini Cooper, and suggested adding $10 a day for a bigger car. I refused, and in the end, they did give me a bigger car, a Nissan Sentra, saying it was a free upgrade. This is nonsense; the whole parking lot didn't even have two-door cars!

“Easy rental and good choice of vehicle for short vacation with friends.”

Vehicle was amazing, but one drawback - not so much space for baggages in 12-seats Ford Transit, even while travelling in 8. Unfortunately, there's nothing in between 7 and 12 seats.
