I consulted QEEQ's customer service, and they assured me someone would still be at the counter, so I went ahead and made the booking confidently. To be on the safe side, I chose Hertz, and it turned out to be either good luck or excellent service from Hertz, as someone was indeed there when I arrived at 11:30 PM. The only other staffed counter was Europar. Arriving late had its perks, though. After a brief friendly chat, I was genuinely grateful, as I needed to meet a client 100 kilometers away in Villingen the next day. The kind lady upgraded me to a 20,000-kilometer Alfa Romeo SUV.
