Confusing pick-up and overcharged.

There are 3 Easy, Easi, EZ car rental shuttles at Orlando. Took 1 of those, wrong location, shuttle back to airport, shuttle to Routes. Very confusing. At night and alone. Not sure I would rent off site again. They also insisted on a binder from my auto insurance company. In MA that is only for property. Declaration page (which I had) is for auto. Finally took care of over the phone. Then the SUV I reserved wasn't available. They tried to upgrade me to a BLACK (in FL heat - no way) oversized Jeep that looked more like a hummer. I am 59 and disabled. I would have needed a step to get in. My friend I was visiting could not possibly have gotten in. Miraculously, the Rogue was available after all. In the end, the vehicle was great and return a breeze. Oh, I was overcharged about $12 from what I authorized over the phone. I haven't called about that yet. Not cool.

“Pathetic and totally unacceptable”

They made us wait for 30 minutes outside the airport in 90 degrees before they sent someone to pick us up. Then they asked to show insurance declaration page otherwise they wont rent me the car. I showed them my insurance proof plus coverage etc but they were not convinced and forced me to buy insurance from them which cost me $170 extra and the total cost to rent the car reached $240 for 4 days which is totally ridiculous. They showed me its part of the agreement that is hidden somewhere down the 3 different pages and in the middle of a huge document. There is no way people are going through every page and line when they rent something on any website. If you have some exception, you must show it in the very front page in bold so people notice it but instead you do it intentionally so as to get money from your customers. Additionally, the girl was also pursuing hard to rent me sun pass while I already had my own ezpass with me. She told me ezpass is accepted only at few places and not everywhere which is a total lie. In fact, there is only florida turnpike which does not accept ezpass otherwise anywhere else you go it is accepted. All this things made my experience very bad and rest assured I am not going to rent from them again in the future. They are a thief.

Routes staff lied about pickup time and why it took so long, 1hr after flight arrived in 90 dry heat. Car was on E and was supposed to be full. Under staffed and most didn’t know what to do. Drop off was not available at flight time so had to drop off night b4 and Uber back to hotel and then to airport next day. Extra $90

Car was great! Excellent condition. The only problem is I had a flight to catch at 6:45 and Routes did not open until 6am which I was not aware of. I assumed there would be a drop box and or instructions on what to do if you have an early flight. There was no drop box to leave the key and car. If this were available I would strongly recommend routes, otherwise if you have an early flight to catch you might want to look elsewhere. It was a great experience minus the drop off mishap.

“A nightmare”

This was a cluster mess. We wasted a half a day in order to get a vehicle that would work for our needs. We arrive they did not have the jeep that we reserved, I requested i this was a cluster mess. We arrive they did not have the jeep that we reserved, The vehicle they gave us was way too small, and not the Jeep we reserved , we request a larger vehicle they try to charge us for it , The lady at the counter said she cannot upgrade until the manager got back we come back in 2 to 3 hours , When we return there is a different gentleman there and he tried to take care of us because they were going to give us a little bit larger vehicle. But what really made us bad was as we are waiting for that vehicle the couple next to us who only have one bag in a carry on bag with them the gentleman said sir I’m sorry we don’t have your midsize car so we’re gonna have to upgrade you they have giving them up the big full-size SUV that we asked for three hours earlier customer service is horrible this operation was terrible charge but what really made us bad was as we are waiting for that vehicle the couple next to us who only have one bag in a carry on bag with them the gentleman said sir I’m sorry we don’t have your midsize car so we’re gonna have to upgrade you they have giving them up the big full-size SUV that we asked for three hours earlier customer service is horrible this operation was terrible Then come to find out that there was toll violations on that vehicle
