The car was pretty old and knackered, and parked on the top floor of a multi-storey car park with limited lift access, so we had to carry heavy suitcases up the last few steps. The Alamo staff were friendly but there were some hidden catches (not allowed to take the cars on a ferry, for example). Drop-off very quick but I haven’t received any sort of receipt from them.

The staff were very enthusiastic and provided attentive service. There were no obstacles in the process, though I was a bit unaccustomed to the level of trust they placed in us. They told us that returning the car was as simple as parking it in the lot and leaving without any further concerns.
