I paid for a BMW X3, but they gave me a Volvo XC60 at the store. The steering wheel was very hard to control, and as a driver with 20 years of experience, I found it exhausting to drive. The steering was completely unstable, and there were no front parking sensors. Charging BMW-level prices for this kind of car?

The agent kept forcing us to buy insurance, otherwise he would make it difficult for us to get the car. I told him I already had full insurance, but he didn't acknowledge it and forced us to buy insurance using documents in French, and made us sign. It took two extra hours before we got the car. This felt like fraudulent behavior. As it was our first time renting a car, we didn't know any better and had to comply to get the car. Later, we saw two extra charges on the bill: 212 euros and 265 euros, but we don't know what they were for.

I had a discussion at return, as they inspected the car and told me all is OK, then they charged me for missing fuel. I was still in airport so I went back to the office in parking and I was told indicator was missing a line. I shown them the receipt of refuelling which was consistent with the km of the rental, and told them the gun was clicking out showing full tank and indicator was probably faulty. Only after a long discussion with another employee the charge was removed from my invoice.

When picking up the car, the service lady was not professional: First, she did not explain how to open the fuel cap. It turns out the release lever is under the driver's seat, which is quite different from cars designed in China! Second, she did not clarify how to pay for fuel. In France, you first get €200 deducted from your credit card before being allowed to refuel. We only refueled half a tank, costing about €40, and the remaining amount has still not been refunded! Third, she did not explain how to pay for tolls on the highway, which left us stuck at the toll booth for half an hour! Fourth, the deposit of €250 promised to be refunded within 5 days after returning the car has still not been credited back to us yet! I hope your rental platform can help expedite this process!

The process was very fast, and there was no forced requirement to purchase additional insurance. They only charged a 600 credit card deposit. To drive out of the parking lot, you need a code provided by the rental company, but the staff apparently didn’t inform us about this, so we had to return to the rental office to ask again.

I had three significant issues during the car rental process that I am very dissatisfied with.
First: The car provided did not match my reservation. When booking, I specifically chose a compact car for easier driving within the ancient city. However, upon pickup, I was given a tall SUV, which I was not comfortable driving due to my familiarity with smaller cars. The rental company had no other options available, leaving me with the choice to either accept the SUV or cancel the reservation.
Second: The rental company claimed there was a compact Nissan car available at their Avignon branch and reserved it for me. As a result, I altered my travel plans last minute and drove for two and a half hours to Avignon, only to be told upon arrival that Marseille's rental office had never communicated the reservation to them, and there was no compact car available for an exchange. This misinformation from the Marseille branch caused disruption to my itinerary, and driving the oversized vehicle through small towns was both challenging and fuel-inefficient.
Third: While making the payment, the Marseille rental office charged me an additional €75 for a one-way drop-off fee, promising to refund it along with the deposit upon return (we have audio evidence of this). However, at drop-off in Montpellier, the staff insisted the €75 one-way fee had to be charged. Even after showing them the rental breakdown, they agreed to process the refund but, to this day, it has not been issued.
Regarding the return process, I encountered three major issues:
First: The navigation showed the return location as being within a seven-story parking garage. After parking the car, I spent a long time searching and eventually discovered the return point was on the basement level. I had to pay parking fees to move the car to the basement floor. Then, I had to walk to the rental office inside the train station, only to have the staff accompany me back to the basement to check the vehicle. The process was overly complicated as the rental office is inside the train station with no parking in front, and there was no prior instruction explaining that the return spot was specifically in the basement level.
Second: Upon inspection during the return process, the staff pointed out a pinhole-sized crack on the windshield. Despite our thorough inspection when picking up the car and recording a video of the car, we completely missed this tiny crack. After repeated confirmations, we were certain there was no collision during our rental period. Following further investigation, the staff verified that the crack was not our fault and we were not held liable for it. However, this issue delayed our return process for an hour. Luckily, we had allowed sufficient time to catch our train, or this could have disrupted our travel plans.
Third: During the final billing, the rental company still deducted the €75 one-way drop-off fee. Despite presenting evidence and arguing our case, they merely stated that the refund would be processed later. To date, we have not received it. We kindly request Zuzuche's customer service team to assist in recovering the overcharged one-way drop-off fee.

Our flight landed very early which meant we were at the counter at 9:45am for a 10:30 booking. The staff were unable to access the booking until 10:30 which meant a 45 minute wait. Not great when you have been traveling since 4am! Other than that it was a very smooth experience and we will definitely use Dollar again.

The company you provided the rental with (interment) have sent me an unreadable invoice and have charged me an additional £50 to my credit card without my permission, after they had cleared my rental and said there would be no further charge. The email address from which they sent the invoice is a no reply address so I cannot even reply. This is totally unacceptable and to take additional money without my agreement is fraudulent.

Would absolutely not recommend Interrent to anyone. It took over 60 minutes to get the vehicle and once at the counter they charged me an extra 80€ on "basic services". Once that was over, the car was as expected, but they didn´t even have the thought of cleaning it. Overall a bad experience.

We did not get the car we wanted. We were not given any other option than what we got 'take it or leave it'. They were totally over the top in trying to sell insurance. They insisted on a credit card (which a lot of people don't use anymore). Why not take a deposit on a visa debit. We had to pay c€250 for this reason. The building is overcrowded and their process is too slow. It is not obvious to take a ticket when you arrive.

The airport rental desk staff claimed I had zero insurance and tried to make me sign a document to acknowledge it. Allegedly nobody has insurance with inter rent. I object to have vastly different expectations between booking and actual execution. If you are aware of what inter rent / gold car are going then you need to make your booking more transparent. If not, you should take this up with them and stop trying to extort customer at the desk

2 personnes au guichet pour 10 personnes qui attendent. rien de bien mechant. accueil courtois et assez pro meme si un peu trop insistant sur la vente d'assurance. mais voiture (captur) dans un état lamentable, sieges sales, carrosserie rayée, et surtout freins sur les disques, donc voiture vraiment dangereuse. avec seulement 44K au compteur ca fait beaucoup. pourtant habitué de firefly je n'avais pas eu de gros soucis avec eux. ce qui m'a le plus gené c'est l'explication du resp d'agence qui m'explique que les voitures ne sont pas cheres et qu'ils ne facturent plus le nottoyage...cela explique des voitures sales et en mauvais état mecanique.
