Car suited our needs, just wasn’t that clean inside

The counter staff at pickup were very helpful. The delay in completing paperwork etc was due to an internet outage for the whole south-east due to Storm Ashley. No staff to receive car at Gatwick North terminal, but just parked and left key in the box.

Slow pick up process. Not clear that digital registration required upon arrival. Queue jumping for ‘priority’ customers whilst the rest wait.

Like: Friendly and efficient staff; vehicle in good condition and excellent service on dropping off.
Dislike: I had ordered an automatic transmission vehicle but a manual transmission vehicle was allotted to me at pick-up. I came to know this until I got on the vehicle to check. It spent me another 30 minutes to wait for the change of vehicle and felt frustrated. I hope that Europcar would check the order carefully and the same thing would not happen to other customers again.

Like: Well priced for size of car, well known rental company, quite a simple process overall.
Dislike: Car booked was a Skoda Superb or similar, which is quite a large car. Car issued was a Skoda Octavia, which is the next size down.
