No hard selling at the counter, which was nice. We originally booked to pick up in Marseille and return in Lyon, but our plans changed and we asked to return the car in Marseille instead—no extra fees at all. The car was in great condition and had CarPlay. Just remember to bring your own cable, and note that the CarPlay port is a regular USB-A if you want it to work. Overall, driving in France felt really relaxing; outside the big cities, it’s actually very suitable for road trips.

The entire car rental process was quite smooth. They recommended buying full insurance multiple times, but it wasn't a big issue.
