I was completely clueless and just tried to balance between reviews and price, so I chose Hertz. It turned out to have the longest line when picking up the car. My broken English was not enough, but the staff patiently communicated with me using translation software.
The attitude during pick-up and drop-off was excellent, especially during the return. They even told me where gas was expensive and directed me to a station with a normal price. Truly outstanding service.
We picked up the car at the agreed time. We originally booked a Nissan Quest, but Hertz didn't have it, only a DODGE, which is much smaller. Although the Chinese customer service was very responsible, they still couldn't switch back to the Quest. Also, we couldn't add the customer service on WeChat, so there was no way to communicate. Being in a foreign country and renting a car for the first time, we had no choice but to accept it. The user experience was very poor.
