Terrible Europcar

Very long pick up line at the airport which really delayed the pick up of the car. Counter was fully staffed but it too many customers at once to handle

We were quite impressed with the smart4. At interns of performance and space. The Europcar staff on pick up and drop off were very helpful, friendly and professional. Could not fault them. Excellent value for money and would recommend

A straight forward process.

I was charged 36€ extra for no reason I am yet to discover, impossible to get them on the phone and rectify the problem

All fine so far

I booked a 7 seater car as I had 6 people in our party. I was given a long wheel base 9 seater mini bus. As soon as I drove it it was clear that the brakes needed repairing. I went straight back into the office but the representative had gone and closed up. I phoned the next day but no answer and finally got through the following day and returned the vehicle, not for a 7 seater as booked but another large minbus. Where we were staying in Rome this was a real problem as we couldnt get the van on the driveway. Please, if someone books a people carrier can you not give them a large bus which struggles to park or get down very narrow lanes. Thank you
