There were no other people when picking up the car, so no waiting in line.

The car was a 9 seater and was brilliant for our trip, it was clean on arrival. The only thing is the car park is very tight, apart from that all was smooth.

The car was most suitable for our use. It was small which suited navigating the narrow roads and very narrow streets we passed through around Lake Garda. Although small the vehicle was impressively spacious. Fuel wise it was economical. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would use Viaggiare Rent again.

Pickup was just outside Verona airport on the left when you exit. I first tried to use an embassy-certified translation of my license, but the counter said they needed an IDP “white booklet” (not the Chinese one, but looks like they prefer the white booklet, plus translation + notarization + apostille). I pulled up the official explanation from the embassy website and asked to speak with the manager; after they checked and searched, they made an exception and let us take the car. We got a Citroën Aircross, basically brand new with just over 6,000 km. It had a rearview camera, lane/speed/collision warnings, wireless charging, etc. No spare tire but there was a tool kit. The rental car lot roads and exit are quite narrow, so be extra careful when driving out. They didn’t push any extras, just asked if we wanted Telepass at €25 per day, and reminded us the car only came with basic insurance from the rental company (we’d bought full coverage separately on the platform). We paid the one-way drop-off fee on the spot. Overall, everything went pretty smoothly.

This is the second time renting a car from them. The staff is very nice and I didn't encounter any problems. The car condition is also good.

The receptionist was really sweet and had a great figure.

The day before, I stopped by to confirm the details. Seeing that there were three of us with a lot of luggage, they upgraded us to a Peugeot 3008 when we picked up the car the next day. They carefully walked us through an inspection of the car, proactively pointed out two small scratches, and suggested we take a video. They patiently taught us how to connect the phone to the navigation system. Since I purchased full insurance through the app, there was no upselling at the store. Returning the car in Rome was convenient; the drop-off was on the third floor of a building at the airport. They mentioned that the deposit would be refunded within a week if there were no issues, and it was refunded as promised. Overall, the service was excellent. Note that for the deposit, the driver's chip credit card (VISA or MASTER) is mandatory; magnetic stripe cards are not accepted.
