On October 14-15 in La Spezia, Italy, I had reserved a Jeep. However, upon arrival, the staff informed me that the Jeep was not available and I would have to wait. To get a car quickly, I switched to a cheaper Fiat. The prices were different, and I am not sure how to get the price difference refunded.

We rented a car for a self-drive trip in Tuscany and were pressured by the staff who kept suggesting that small cars would not work well on countryside roads. Under pressure, we opted for an expensive SUV because we were worried that if we insisted on picking a cheaper car, the staff might give us trouble during the return. In short, avoid this Europcar location. Do not go to the Europcar in Siena; they will find various excuses to make you upgrade your car model and purchase pricier insurance.

Possibly because of the low prices, Europcar had the most customers but only half the staff, leading to over an hour of waiting. I rented a station wagon, but the trunk wasn't as big as expected, almost couldn't fit everything, more like a hatchback.

Very poor experience. Rented a car for someone else, but upon arrival, they were informed that the chosen model was unavailable and suggested an alternative. Despite knowing the renter had poor English, they intentionally did not clarify the costs. Various additional charges were applied for upgrades and lower insurance coverage, making the total upgrade costs higher than the rental fee. All these were not clearly explained to the renter! It took almost a month to resolve this with such a terrible rental company. Be cautious! Similar issues with unjustified charges occurred with an order in Germany despite having insurance purchased in advance from home, only to be charged for reduced coverage at the store. Terrible.

“Europcar worst customer service ever”

Europcar have worst customer service ever, I had an emergency which I needed to speak to there pick up office but for a whole an hour they wouldn't pick up the phone, and so I had to go back to there office which took more than an hour and when I reached I asked why aren't you answering the phone they said there busy to answer phone and furthermore I was mistreated in a horrible way
