Friendly and efficient

The Hertz front desk staff was very nice. Noticing that my English was limited, they intentionally spoke slower, articulating each word clearly, which was very considerate. During the paperwork process, there were offers to upgrade the vehicle and purchase insurance, but after declining, the service remained warm and enthusiastic. I rented a Corolla but was given a Nissan Sentra instead. The car was good, the seats were very comfortable, though the power was a bit lacking.

Pickup and return were very fast, but there was no staff present to do a vehicle inspection. It was a pleasant start, and the Elantra drove well and was fuel-efficient. However, upon returning the car, a crack was found on the windshield, likely caused by a small rock on the road. I was charged over 100 CAD. Since the car was picked up in a dimly lit garage and no staff was there to inspect the vehicle with me, it's hard to say whether the crack was already there or happened during my rental. Just my bad luck, I guess.

When I arrived at the scheduled time, the reserved car was not available. The staff pushed hard for an upgrade and tried selling insurance. Their attitude was extremely poor if I declined. I ended up waiting for an hour and was given a car I was very dissatisfied with.
