You can arrive of East Coast Car Rentals - Gold Coast Airport car rental by free shuttle bus.

When you arrive at the Airport, collect your luggage, you may either visit https://pickmeup.eccr.com.au/ or call 1 800 474 258 or (+61) 07 5555 8908 to arrange free shuttle bus pick up. The shuttle service operates until 15 minutes before the regular office closing time.If you miss the last shuttle, please arrange your own transportation to the rental location. Whether you arrive on a domestic or international flight, exit the terminal building, turn left, and walk straight until you reach the leftmost part of the terminal building with a sign reading "Transit Centre Meeting Point". This is a circular driveway where shuttle buses pick up passengers.

Drop-off Instructions

Please return the vehicle to our office located at:3 Karana Street Tugun, QLD, 4224. After returning, take the free shuttle back to the airport. Please note that the complimentory shuttle only operate during office hours.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1-2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Please note that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is only a translation. You must present your original driving licence together with the original IDP at the counter — photocopies or scanned copies are not accepted.

An English translation must be provided on the back of the driver's license.

The translation of the driver's license certified by the Australian Translation and Accreditation Institute (NAATI) can be used to rent a car and drive in Australia.

If you're holding local driver's license, and this is your first time renting with Eastcoast and you reside within 150 km of pickup location, please provide a utility bill(dated within the last three months), like electricity, gas, water, rates, phone, or internet bills,as proof of address. Please ensure the address on the utility bill matches the one on your licence.

Not allow to drive between mainland Australia and Tasmania in either direction or into or out of the Northern Territory or Western Australia; Excluded from the protection is on the ferry or driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water. Please note, any vehicle towing or recovery costs incurred while located on any of the islands and locations listed above will be at the Customer’s expense and we are unable to guarantee the provision of a replacement vehicle.

Wanted to write an email to provide some formal feedback on my experience with the customer service team at the Tugan car rental depot. It was less than satisfactory and left me with a very poor impression on the way you deal and engage with your customers. As a paying customer, you would expect that you are treated with friendly, courteous and respectful service - this was not the case when i picked up my car on Sunday 5//5/19 - instead was met with extremely poor attitude, no smile, short and vague responses - overall not a great example of how customers should be treated, i drove away with my car feeling ripped off and started what was supposed to a special getaway with my partner in a foul mood due your customer service. I hope you take this feedback on board and communicate with your team at the Tugan depot so that other customers are not left with the same sour taste in their mouth as i did. Kind Regards

Pickup service and process was seamless. Drop off was also seamless, however the counter staff that accepted my return, forgot to tell the shuttle driver I was waiting at their depot to be taken to OOL airport. As he was unaware I was at the depot, I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for his return, before getting picked up. The counter person almost wanted to blame me, for taking a seat, which she suggested, while I waited for the driver the first time he went by the depot. Otherwise everything was easy and seamless.

A bit of a crowd at the pick-up desk meant queuing for a while. But I was the only customer in the place for a quick easy return. But beware additional charges- needed to extend a 4 day booking by 3 hrs, which cost more than a prebooked day !
