1. Customers wishing to drive the rental vehicle into Oman must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the rental company in advance. The rental company will contact the customer via WhatsApp or email to collect the required documents, including a passport, driving licence with an English translation, credit card, and the dates of entry to and exit from Oman. Rental vehicles may only cross the border via Khatm Al Shikla (Al Ain) or Mazyad (Al Ain). 2. Driving in Oman requires purchasing local insurance (third-party liability insurance), which can be arranged at the border on site. 3. For safety reasons, electric vehicles are temporarily not permitted to enter Oman. 4. According to the local insurance policy, only the primary driver listed on the NOC is permitted to drive the UAE. 5. UAE rental insurance is valid only within the UAE. If vehicle damage or a traffic accident occurs outside the UAE, vehicle loss and related costs are not covered by the UAE insurance.

Pretty good. Registration at the airport counter and car pickup at the parking lot counter. Both required some waiting time. The vehicle condition was average, and there was no upselling. Remember to take photos and videos when picking up the car. Upon returning the car, a slight scratch was found on the tailgate, but luckily I had video evidence proving it was already there when I picked up the car. Everything else went smoothly. Around a week after returning the car, the pre-authorization for toll fees was canceled.
