We had five people, booked a seven-seater Mercedes, but were given a nine-seater Renault. This caused quite a bit of inconvenience for parking during our trip, especially since parking in the city is already difficult. We ended up having to park in a parking lot. I recall that the rental deposit mentioned by Zuzuche was 500 euros, but they charged us 2000 euros. They said the deposit would be reduced to 500 euros only if we purchased their insurance. Since we were in a hurry, I didn't argue. The mileage and fuel level on the order were incorrectly marked, and the car we received had visible scratches and dents that hadn't been repaired. Anyway, I documented everything to prepare for any potential deductions.

It was convenient to pick up and return the car in the city areas of Zagreb and Ljubljana, but not having self-operated locations made it hard to feel secure. During this rental, we even encountered the issue of having to add engine oil ourselves, which shows the rental company did not properly maintain the vehicle. This wasted a lot of our time, especially since we were in an unfamiliar place with language barriers, which added significant stress and dampened our mood for the trip! Additionally, the rental fees were very expensive—10 days of rental, cross-border fees, and one-way drop-off cost over 38,000 TWD, which is far too pricey! If it weren’t our first time self-driving in Europe and needing the convenience of city pick-up and drop-off, we wouldn’t have considered this company at all!

It's best to contact the staff in advance before picking up the car. We arrived at the scheduled time but couldn't find the staff. After calling them, they drove over. The return location is near the old town, and parking was difficult to find. The staff told us to park in front of a restaurant, but we noticed a 'No Parking' sign there at first, so we specifically found another parking spot nearby.

It's better to choose a major car rental company. This smaller one finds various ways to charge extra fees. Firstly, the car rental company in Slovenia required an €80 cross-border fee. Considering this, the slight savings from choosing this smaller company were not worth it. Secondly, they kept pushing for insurance add-ons. Later, because I didn't purchase insurance, I had to pay €362 for a small scratch on the wheel rim. It turns out it would have been better to buy the insurance.

They were very detailed with the car damages, which were many. Customers are expected to check the car in details and take photos and videos, otherwise it is very likely you will be charged with those damages when returning the car. They are very detailed and thorough with checking!

The flat tire occurred on a weekend night, with the damage on the side of the tire, making it irreparable. Customer service told me to handle it myself, but I couldn't stay where I was, as it would delay others' accommodations and ticket bookings the next day. In the end, I had to call roadside assistance to replace the tire. The following day, I arrived in Zagreb and replaced a pair of tires as required by the rental company. One flat tire ended up costing me three tires.

I booked a Mazda CX-5, but ended up with a VW T-Roc, which is noticeably smaller. This made the entire trip inconvenient as the trunk was always fully packed with luggage. Every time we loaded or unloaded, we had to remove the trunk partition first. During one of these instances, we accidentally misplaced the partition. When returning the car, we were fined 400 euros for this, which felt opportunistic and unfair.

This was the worst car rental experience I've had abroad. Hidden charges were involved: upon entering the store, I was charged €35, and another €30 when returning the car. I mentioned the fuel wasn't full when renting, and the staff told me to take a photo, but later they refused to acknowledge it and forced me to pay €30. We were in a hurry to catch our flight, so we had no choice. Poor service overall.

I frequently use Dollar/Thrifty cars in the United States and trusted the company once again for this booking. Initially, I hoped for a Ford Fiesta or similar models like a Polo or Opel. However, I was unexpectedly given an outdated Panda model—fully manual, no backup camera, and without any digital features. Considering the 10-day rental cost close to 6000 in the Balkans, receiving such a car felt somewhat disappointing.

The staff were indifferent and impatient. To sell insurance, they even made false claims, saying that they do not recognize any insurance purchased on the Zuzuche platform. They claimed that if you don't buy their insurance, any damages would be directly deducted from the deposit, and you'd have to handle the reimbursement through Zuzuche insurance yourself. However, their quote clearly includes various insurance options!

Although the document inspection was thorough, the overall service was quite good, all the staff were young guys. The biggest dissatisfaction was the car being too dirty inside. Initially Offered me a lower class vehicle ( Peugeot c-élysées) which I refused. Then the Counter staff blamed the Spanish office for allocating that vehicle type. then I Had to demand goldcar find me a suitable vehicle They then offered me a beaten up and worn older model Kia Ceed. I was embarrassed by the condition of the car and had to wait from 10am to 3:45pm before they eventually provided me with a suitable vehicle. Knowing I had been waiting there from 10am the counter staff still made me wait in line on 3 separate lengthy occasions before they would serve me or follow up further on finding me a suitable vehicle the category I booked. On the 3rd visit to the counter I was told they were bringing me a new Ford Focus, however the counter staff member ended up upgrading and giving my car to the customer before me instead. When I asked why did he do that? The person replied ‘because we did have a vehicle in his category available’. But why then didn’t you offer me the same when I initially arrived to pick up my vehicle? He just shrugged his shoulders and apologised. Then out of embarrassment and in the end he offered me a higher category vehicle to get me eventually going. He could’ve done that at the very start and saved everyone a lot of time and headache.

Great service, although the tank was only 78% full on pick-up. This was noted on the document by the member of staff who checked the car over. He didn’t know what to do, when I asked why, he just shrugged his shoulders and said ‘I don’t know’? He said the tank was full but the dial must be broken. Of course when I filled the car up the dial went to 100%. I felt less aggrieved as the return location allowed us to return the car over two hours after the return time, at no extra cost.

I write you now to try to find whom am I suppose to send my complaint regarding my rental at Zagreb Airport branch. The main problem is that for a small scratch at the plastic rear bumper of the old and with foul smell Suzuki Baleno that was given to me at Zadar (*), the officer Bogdan charged me 375 euros!!! Just last May in Portugal my friend paid Hertz 290 euros for a new windshield at his Renault Clio, after a small stone dented it on the highway. Very unfortunate. My case is so much cheaper, I can’t believe AddCar decided to charge me almost 400 euros for a repair that cannot cost more than 50. I understand that my booking thru EasyCar was at a very special rate, but that was AddCar offer and it is not fair to try to get back some money by so high damage charge for a very little dent. Only a scratch, it did not even kneaded the car. For 32 days of rental, I paid 3.151,90 kunas (including cross border taxes). Today, for the dent, I paid 2.812,50 kunas. It is just not fair, sir... (*)The first car I got at Zagreb lasted only 4 days with us due to an elletronic malfunction, and had to be toed away. We lost a day of the vacations by the Zadar airport waiting for another car to arrive, and the one they gave us was this Blue Baleno in a very bad shape. All dented, dirty (although one hour of our waiting was supposed to be for the carwash) and smelling of sweat and cigarettes (the same odor with the first car, but in this case propagou because you staff of smokers uses the car and smoked in it just before renting it to me). Just after a few days the “new” car started to smell a little better, but by that time the clutch pedal was giving constant reason for concern, as it sometimes got stuck back and won’t come out when you are changing gears. Very dangerous, specially during overtakes. This problem was reported today to Bogdan as well, who attributed the indecent amount charged to my car due to a standard damage fee (75) plus the dent itself (300 euros!!!).

Like: I was very satisfied with the service I received. The car, an Opel Astra, was more spacious than I expected. We were easily able to fit five people in the car along with the luggage.
Dislike: I was told that we were going to get a station wagon, but instead received a sedan. I had my reservation to return the car at 22:00, but my contract was changed to 21:00. Had I not be able to show my reservation on the phone, it would have been counted as late.

I was quite hesitant to book with this company because their price was 10% lower than the big company SIXT. However, I saw reviews mentioning being charged for damages that were not noted during the initial inspection. Initially, I booked with SIXT because it's a reputable company, but then I found that this company offered the same model for nearly 25% less. Research showed that this company is a local Croatian rental company similar to CAR Inc. in China. Hoping for the best, I canceled SIXT and booked with them, planning to inspect the car thoroughly when picking it up. Although the car was delayed by an hour due to city transfer, the staff was polite and did not push for additional insurance. However, the cross-border fee was mandatory for 10 days at 7 euros per day (even though our trip to Bosnia and Montenegro was only 5 days and 4 nights), maybe they start counting from when you leave the mainland? Additionally, there was a 15 euro ferry fee even though the ferry ticket already included the car. My English isn't great, so I didn't bother arguing and just accepted it. However, returning the car was another story altogether. Despite driving carefully without any incidents, the staff inspected the car thoroughly and found a scratch under the front bumper that was not noted during pickup. It's an area hardly anyone would check (see attached photo). At the counter, they insisted it was our fault and their attitude was the complete opposite of their friendliness during pickup! They charged us 1200 kuna for the damage and just waited for us to sign. This last part soured the end of our trip. Thankfully, we had full insurance through the rental platform, and they eventually covered the damage cost. However, this underhanded tactic is highly unethical! I strongly advise future renters to get full insurance and note every tiny scratch during pickup, including under the bumper.

They gave us a German Volkswagen van at Zagreb airport, which we are familiar with. Picking up the car was easy, and returning it at Dubrovnik airport was also convenient.
