Overall, it was very convenient.

The staff was very experienced. I was worried about communication issues with AVIS regarding price and insurance. In the end, the staff simply told us that if we had purchased insurance, we might need to pay upfront and then claim back from the insurance company. This appears to be the process for buying QEEQ insurance. However, we explained that we bought the car rental company's insurance. He quickly checked using the phone number and confirmed we had insurance. The car pickup and drop-off were very convenient. We used the self-service drop-off and received the final bill promptly. So far, we are very satisfied. Having a car made traveling around England much easier.

They didn’t know I’d selected a VE Golf and wanted to give me a Renault Captur until I showed them the booking confirmation, so I think the reservation went through to them wrong

I like the auto rebook feature which keeps checking if the price has dropped and automatically redoes your reservation. I needed help with the additional insurance and the support team took many messages back and forth to try and get a suitable answer.

Pick up was great - even though my flight was 3 hours late and I arrived at the pick up after 11pm the guy was great. He had been keeping an eye on my flight and nothing was too much trouble for him. Drop off was different. The girl checked the petrol and mileage and told me everything was ok. I asked for a receipt to say that I had handed the car over - she said it wasn't necessary and that I would receive an email. I am still waiting.
