Unfair charges

It was a great car rental experience. We picked up the car an hour early at the airport. The procedure was very simple: show your passport, driver's license, and certification, then pay the deposit with a credit card and sign the contract to get the keys. To our surprise, the original Passat was upgraded to an SUV, a new car with only 1300 kilometers, running on diesel and equipped with navigation. Returning the car was even easier. We handed it over at the designated spot where a staff member checked the car's condition and fuel tank, then it was directly signed off as okay. As long as the tank was full (I refueled within 3 kilometers away), there was no need to wash the car. We drove a total of 2800 kilometers, with a fuel consumption of 5 liters per 100 kilometers and a top speed of 160 km/h (some parts of German highways have no speed limit, but I didn't dare to go any faster). This great experience makes me want to rent a car for future trips as well.
