I chose full insurance from the car rental company when booking through QEEQ. At pickup, they offered roadside assistance, which I declined, and they didn't push further. I reserved a C-class Nissan Versa but received a B-class Kia Forte instead. The starting mileage was about 37,000 miles, but the car's condition was decent. While driving, a small stone cracked the front windshield. Since I had full insurance, when returning the car, they only asked about the cause, location, and time of the damage, and the insurance covered everything. A $200 deposit was required at pickup and was refunded immediately after returning the car. Gas prices in California are generally high, and it seems the company estimates a full tank at a higher cost. So, I recommend skipping their refueling option and just refilling the tank yourself before returning the car.

I am an experienced driver overseas, so everything went smoothly. Overseas car rental companies are more self-service oriented, so don't expect the same level of service as in domestic ones.

Persistently pushing insurance, even after I said I didn't need it. I had already bought the necessary coverage, but they kept pushing.

If there's a next time, I would definitely not consider Thrifty again. If not for the help from the car rental service, they might have overcharged me.
