Initially, I was supposed to pick up the car in the center of Svolvær, but after contacting the rental company, a staff member delivered the car directly to the airport. Returning it was just as easy, simply returning it at the airport. It was incredibly convenient. Additionally, they upgraded me to a Volvo XC30, and the car was in excellent condition. Highly recommended.

The pick-up service was excellent. The rental company put the car key, documents, etc., in a bag in advance. You only need to sign some documents and swipe a pre-authorization; it’s very convenient and fast. However, the car was a bit hard to find – it was on the top floor of a parking building opposite the pick-up point. There were no signs in the elevator, making it somewhat difficult to locate. Also, for those who didn’t purchase full insurance, note that some scratches were not marked in the contract. It is recommended to thoroughly inspect the car and confirm with the staff.

The Avis counter staff were WONDERFUL. The car had a dent in it that was unnoticed by their review, so I have to sort that out because they think I didn't (but I didn't), and the vehicle needed replacement of some fluid during the trip that I shouldn't have had to deal with. So I don't think their maintenance/vehicle care team is strong. But they credited me at the counter for the cost of the fluid I had to purchase, so that was good.

The car is preassigned when i onboard for pick-up. Car condition is good. I was holiday traveler for self drive and northern light chasing.
