Car was great. Due to heavy traffic on our return we did not have time to fill up the tank. Interrent charged €18 for the fuel which is acceptable then a further €50 penalty for not returning the vehicle full. Very angry at this unreasonably high penalty. I will not use them again.

Pick up of the car took 1.5 hrs, this was largely due to having to leave a 1200 Euro deposit. As I wanted this to be on credit card we needed a PIN number which I didn’t have, apparently a signature is no longer valid. This was not clear in the booking process. Be aware you will have to leave a large deposit if you use this company. There was also only one member of staff when we arrived so there was a long wait as the staff member was doing everything from checking cars for scratches etc. to paperwork. Although the staff member was friendly it was clearly too much work for one person. The car we eventually got was not the car I had booked and although clean the engine sounded dodgy and it was not a great car.

I'm copying my review on google to warn customers to stay away from Interrent: I highly recommend trying a different car rental service. Terrible experience picking up the car. Nearly 1 hour wait with only 3 customers in front of us before reaching the counter was just the beginning. The processing of our reservation was extremely slow and the personel (although friendly) were quite incompetent. My credit card did not work with their machine and they made me feel very bad about it, suggesting that maybe I didn't have enough funds for the >1200 euro deposit. We tried as well my partners card and again it didn't work. In the end, it worked perfectly on a different machine (which we suggested trying). We almost payed for an additional 90 euro deposit insurance because their credit card machine was not functioning. They did not appologize, only smiled and said we were lucky to avoid paying for the insurance. When we left I saw they made no move to remove the credit card machine and suspect they push customers into buying into this additional 90 euro insurance when their card "doesn't work".

Worst vehicle condition ever! Can told that I damages below 5 cm do not need to be recorded, after return charged 120 Euro! A SCAM! Never use Internet again!!!!

The new tablet damage system was a nightmare but this may have been the assistant didn’t know how to use it. The previous carbon-copy paper system worked much faster
