If you don't want to queue or deal with the counter staff and avoid insurance offers, Alamo has a row of self-service machines in the rental lobby. Simply input your reservation number, driver's license number, swipe your credit card for the deposit, select 'no' for the other options, and the rental document will be printed out.

The counter staff was not very friendly when I was picking up the car. They immediately recommended an upgrade, and when I declined, their attitude worsened. They then suggested buying additional insurance, and when I refused, they started mumbling. Now, Alamo offers self-service kiosks with Chinese language options, so I recommend using the self-service machines.

Satisfied, the car model is good and relatively new.

We were informed at pickup that we had to confirm the order at the self-service machine. The good thing was that the machine had a Chinese language option. However, for some reason, it would log out halfway through inputting the information, so it took nearly 40 minutes to complete. This was quite frustrating. Everything else was fine, and although the staff couldn't help much, they were very polite.

They were friendly and wery helpful.
