Alamo charged mandatory fees without explanation.

Alamo's shuttle bus was available not far from the airport, and it took about 15 minutes to reach the car lot. We queued up to complete the car rental procedures. At the counter, there was a dark-skinned man who looked like he might be Mexican. After verifying the documents, he asked if we wanted to buy insurance. Since we had already purchased full coverage when booking the car, we refused. He then claimed that the car we reserved was no longer available and recommended another car that would cost an additional $100 per day. We saw several Chevrolet Suburban SUVs, the type we reserved, parked in the lot, which made it clear that he was being difficult on purpose. After some arguments and taking photos of the cars in the lot, he reluctantly processed our rental.

At the beginning of the rental process, they asked us to pay an additional insurance fee, but after negotiation, they agreed not to charge any extra fees. Everything else was very satisfactory and convenient, allowing us to choose our preferred or satisfactory model from similar vehicles.
