Because I was in email contact with the area manager, the tire pressure issue was handled quickly and properly. But if you don’t get in touch with that manager, the staff’s responses and the way they deal with problems really hurts the overall rental experience.

I used to always rent with Avis, and this was my first time with First Car. The pickup process was really organized, staff were friendly, and there was no hard selling at all. Pickup and return were super easy, and my deposit was back on my card within a week. Really impressed.

The staff were really friendly and proactive, their service attitude was great. They answered all my questions in detail, and the information they provided was very thorough. The car was extremely clean and hygienic, and the overall condition was very good—basically felt like a new car.
My only gripe is with the QEEQ insurance. It’s not handled directly through the local rental company but arranged through China, so if anything happens you have to pay out of pocket first and then claim reimbursement from the insurance back home.
