From Belgrade Old Town, we took the free bus No.16 to New Belgrade and it was super easy to find the rental office. We’d booked online in advance, so the pick-up process was smooth and fast and we were on the road in no time. The car was a new 208, very easy to handle and drove beautifully the whole way. There were two of us, and the trunk fit two suitcases (24" and 26") perfectly. Since the location is outside the Old Town, you avoid most of the traffic and can get onto the expressway out of the city very quickly. If you’re driving across borders, make sure to apply online in advance so they can prepare the green cross-border insurance – with that, border checks were completely hassle-free.

This place is usually pretty quiet, so if you show up early there’s often nobody at the counter. They do stick a piece of paper with a phone number on the window though. If you want to pick up the car ahead of time, just call that number. I called when picking up and dropping off, and the staff who answered all spoke English, so communication was no problem at all.
