Pick-up Instructions

All customers with confirmed bookings please proceed to the Hertz desk or self-service kiosk in order to complete your rental agreement. Terminal 1 - Exit from customs, the Hertz self-service kiosk on your right. Terminal 2 - Exit from customs, the Hertz self-service kiosk is behind you on the right. Terminal 3 - Exit from customs and walk to the main terminal concourse, the Hertz self-service kiosk in on your right. Terminal 4 - Exit from customs, the Hertz self-service kiosk is on your right. Terminal 5 - Exit from customs, Turn right, the Hertz self-service kiosk Please use the Hertz Courtesy Bus to be taken to the Hertz pick-up and return location. The bus stops are located outside the terminals. Phone/iPad Communication available at all Terminals. Terminal 2 - Bus stops 7 and 8 Terminal 3 - Bus stop 17 Terminal 4 - Bus stops 21,22 & 23 Terminal 5 - Bus stops 26 and 27 Journey time is approximately 15 minutes for Terminal 2 and 3, 20 minutes for Terminal 4 and less than 7 minutes from Terminal 5. If you are returning your vehicle to Heathrow, please allow this time for your journey from the location to the terminals. Please note that the transit time may be affected during peak hours. Customers not arriving by plane: Please follow the signs for "Car Returns" to the Hertz pick-up and return location. All vehicles must be returned to the Hertz main compound. All vehicles not returned to the main compound will be charged a collection fee of GBP 50.00 plus parking charges. Vehicles parked outside the terminal buildings will be towed and you will be charged all fees relating to the release of the vehicle.

Drop-off Instructions

Please check with the branch staff about the return location and time when you pick up the car. All vehicles must be returned to the Hertz main compound. All vehicles not returned to the main compound will be charged a collection fee of GBP 50.00 plus parking charges. Vehicles parked outside the terminal buildings will be towed and you will be charged all fees relating to the release of the vehicle.

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

Please note that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is only a translation. You must present your original driving licence together with the original IDP at the counter — photocopies or scanned copies are not accepted.

UK Driving License（with DVLA check code/DVLA endorsement record）

In addition to your licence, either a valid and up to date DVLA licence check code or a printed DVLA endorsement record must be provided for all Approved Drivers. These can be obtained from the DVLA website (www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence).

    When I try to pick-up the car, they required insurance even I paid for super cover insurance. I have used this application several times, and I always using super cover.     Due to a flight change (out my control), I arrived 5 hours earlier than expected. Although, I have a 7 month old baby, the initial view of check-in desk staff was for us to wait a total of 5 hours before we were able to pick-up the car (unless I was willing to pay for an upgrade). Only after speaking to the manager, who clearly understood that you can't have a 7 month-old baby waiting for 5 hours, we were offered a small SUV that was immediately ready. Somehow this car was ready, while originally it wasn't available. This was appealing and this made the whole experience pretty bad.
