Q1.What is an insurance excess？
The excess is the amount you'll only be liable for in case of damage(under Collision Damage Waiver) or theft(under Theft Protection) of the vehicle.
Information about the excess will be clearly stated in the price inclusion when you reserve a car on QEEQ.
Q2. How can I add an addtional driver?
You are advised to make a request upon your arrival at the rental counter. Additional charge per day will incur unless '1 Additional Driver Included' is stipulated on the rental.
Please note that the same licence and age requirement applys to the additonal driver. The addtional driver is supposed to present the required licence document along with the main driver at pickup.
Q3.What if I want to pick up or drop off my rental car out of office hours?
QEEQ will show you the car offers available at your chosen time on the search results.
However, pick-up or drop-off out of general opening hours may subject to an extra fee unless self-service pick-up or drop-off is available.
After you reserve a car on QEEQ, we will inform you of specific policy of the car hire company by email.
Q4. Can I take the hired car to another country or cross border?
If you want to pick up your car in one country and drop it in another, your search results will show you cars you can do that with.
If you're planning to cross any borders during your trip, bear in mind:
1. You may have to pay more.
There are often extra fees, taxes or additional cover you'll pay at the car hire counter.
2.It may not be allowed.
Depending on where you're hiring, you may not be able to take your car to another country.
Please email us if you want to take your hire car into a different country during your trip, and we'll talk you through your options.
Q5. Can I pick up my car at one location and return it at different location?
Yes. You can pick up the vehicle in one place and drop it off in another. An ‘one-way fee’ will incur. Whether it is inclued in the rental price or what additional cost may arise will be clearly stated at the time of booking on QEEQ.
Please inform the car hire company of your drop-off location when you pick up the vehicle or contact them directly during your trip. You will find a phone number on the rental agreement you signed at pickup.

The car rental desk at Izmir Airport was easy to find and the staff were really patient. The only downside was that the return location was quite hard to locate. Luckily we ran into a staff member from the rental company who kindly walked us over to the right place. The actual car was provided by ESER. They gave us a Toyota ACE Pro City, which is basically the same model as the Peugeot Rifter we originally booked, just a rebadged version. The car was almost brand new, only a bit over 6,000 km on it. It drove really well, handled mountain roads with zero stress, and came with active safety features, which is what I care about most. The second row has three separate seats, very spacious, though the backrests are quite upright. Taller people might feel a bit uncomfortable on longer rides. The staff were very friendly and patient. There was a small hiccup at pickup: my card kept failing, we tried many times and even used someone else’s card, but nothing went through. That took a while. After waiting a bit and trying again, it finally worked. The most annoying thing was that the phone number shown on the QEEQ booking didn’t work at all, and this has happened to me several times. When I rented in Christchurch, New Zealand, the phone number was also wrong. QEEQ really needs to update the contact details for their partner locations. Our flight landed earlier than planned and I had set a later pickup time, but when we arrived the staff member was already waiting with the car in the parking lot—he’d clearly checked our flight status and came early. If he hadn’t done that, with QEEQ’s number unreachable and no staff coming before the scheduled time, we really would’ve been stuck. He also recommended full coverage to us—three days for just 27 EUR or USD, which was a great deal, so we added it.

We don’t really speak any foreign languages, but the counter staff were still super patient helping us with all the paperwork. The car was quite new and made everything a lot easier. I really recommend renting a car and driving yourself in Turkey—every time we rely on other transport at the airport it’s a long, exhausting hassle. Driving is much more flexible and you get to enjoy the scenery along the way.

The staff at pickup didn’t speak any English at all, so it was really hard to communicate. The diesel car also needed AdBlue, which from what I understand shouldn’t be something the renter has to pay for, but the car kept giving warnings and everything I found online said the engine might not start if the level got too low. We ended up buying 4 liters for 176 TRY, and I honestly think that cost should be reimbursed.

Pick-up and return were both really smooth, and there was no hard selling at the counter. The actual car we got was a 9-seater Opel diesel with plenty of power and driver-assist features, so it felt great to drive on the highway. The big downside is that only the driver’s seat is adjustable—none of the other seats can be adjusted at all, which really hurts overall comfort.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The car was in great condition, but it came with an empty tank, which was a hassle as I had to find a gas station right after picking it up. Plus, when returning the car, it's hard to use up all the fuel, so renters tend to lose out a bit. It would be better if they provided the car with a full tank and required it to be returned full.
