The car's condition was well-maintained, and the service process was standard. However, the overall rating is mediocre due to a dispute. During the return at Christchurch Airport, the rental company's staff only asked if the car was returned with a full tank; no other checks were performed. I had to proactively ask if an inspection was needed, to which the staff responded no, just park the car in the designated spot. Later that evening, I received an email from the rental company stating that they found scratches and would withhold the entire deposit. Since I was driving on the left side, I was extremely cautious to avoid any accidents. The unconfirmed scratches and the subsequent charge made the rental experience rather unpleasant.

The car rental provided an international driver's license translation, but they didn't mention that the translation needed a photo attached. As a result, the car rental point did not recognize our driver's license translation! We ended up paying to get the translation done. It was frustrating and we waited over an hour at Queenstown Airport to get an authorized translation. Very unpleasant experience!!

EZI in Queenstown is just a few meters away from the airport. Picking up the car was very easy, no need for a deposit or passport, just fill out a form and check the car's paint. The car was almost new with 7K kilometers and very easy to drive. Drop-off in a different location was also very convenient, just self-park and exchange keys.
