I booked a Mercedes but was given a Volkswagen at the store. They claimed it was the same car group. Does this count as the same car group? This seems like fraud.

It was already very late when picking up the car, so we didn't inspect it carefully. I’ve always had good car conditions when renting in Germany before, never had issues. But after driving for a day, I found two severe cuts on the right front tire, likely from the previous driver hitting a curb. Obviously, the car condition wasn't checked at all before renting it out!

The rental price was displayed as 314 euros during booking, but the actual charge was 415 euros. An additional driver cost 70 euros more. Why wasn't this information provided earlier? And what is the extra 30 euros for? It feels like they may have overcharged us.

It was pouring rain on the day of pickup, but luckily the rental location was nearby. The car I originally booked was unavailable, so they first switched me to a VW Tiguan with automatic transmission. In the country, these coincidences don't often happen, so I firmly requested a change. They then gave me an Audi A4 station wagon with S-line trim and a manual diesel engine, and I let it go.
